- Lina MarshArtist and mother of 3, Lina graduated with a BFA in painting from Whitecliffe College of Art & Design and also has a Secondary Teaching Diploma in Art and Art History. 'When I first received the invitation to be part of the CowParade I was so excited. Checking the website was even better and sparked off so many ideas that I could have quite easily created at least 20 cows. I love public sculpture and art forms that can be viewed by more than just the select few that visit galleries. Auckland especially is in need of contemporary and kooky art forms that move away from traditional works that again only a select few may understand and appreciate. The general public need to learn 'how' to appreciate art and it won't happen if it portrays people and subjects that are bound to past events or intellectual ideas and ideals. Art needs to be accessible and fun - this is the CowParade. The fact that this event is for a charity was also appealing'. Cows in Auckland |
