Tourism Auckland - is responsible for marketing the Auckland Region as a visitor destination and with providing independent, quality information to visitors. Tourism Auckland's activities include the promotion of Auckland's leisure, convention and tourism markets. As a non-profit organisation Tourism Auckland is funded by five of the seven local authorities that make up the Auckland region and is staffed by more than 45 employees.
In February 2003, Auckland plays host to one of the world's most glamorous sporting events - the America's Cup Regatta. There's no better way to experience the thrill of the Cup than being out on the Hauraki Gulf during racing!
